Taylor Swift’s cat, Olivia Benson, is making headlines after allegedly registering to vote.

Sources close to the pop star say the feline stepped on her laptop during a late-night livestream and accidentally filled out an online voter registration form. Within hours, political analysts noticed a 12% swing in polls, sending shockwaves through Washington.

“It’s unprecedented,” said political scientist Dr. Raymond Chu. “One house cat has done more to mobilize young voters than 20 years of campaign ads featuring awkward guitar strumming.”

Swift’s fans, known as Swifties, immediately declared their allegiance to the Cat Party, launching hashtags like #MeowTheVote and #SwiftocracyNow. Rival campaigns scrambled to recruit pets of their own, with mixed results.

Governor Tim Ralston unveiled his campaign hamster, FreedomNibbles, while Senator Emily Gray introduced Patriot the Iguana. Neither received the same traction. “Frankly, they just don’t have Olivia’s star power,” said Chu.

Meanwhile, conspiracy theorists are in meltdown mode. One viral post claimed, “This is the first step in the Feline Agenda—cats control the Wi-Fi, then the nukes.”

For her part, Swift has remained quiet, except for a cryptic Instagram story showing Olivia lounging on a stack of mail-in ballots with the caption: “She’s ready.”
